Joey Savoie Wins PGA Tour Americas Finale at PGA Ocean’s 4 as Thomas Ponder Tops Points List and 10 Earn Korn Ferry Cards

Canada’s Joey Savoie closed with a 5-under-par 67 to win the Dominican Republic Tour Championship presented by Scotiabank, the final event of the 2026 PGA Tour Americas season, played October 15–18 at PGA Ocean’s 4 in Playa Nueva Romana. Savoie finished at 14 under par (274), one stroke ahead of England’s Charlie Crockett.

Savoie, 32, birdied the par-5 18th to take the clubhouse lead and played his final 45 holes without a bogey. It was his second win of the season, following his victory in Ecuador in May that ended an eight-year winless stretch. “It’s been an amazing year, capping off with a win here, win in Ecuador,” Savoie said, adding: “I’m well surrounded, finally healthy and I own my arthritis problem.”

This was the first time the tour finale was staged at PGA Ocean’s 4, a par-72 layout playing to 7,332 yards, with a $225,000 purse. The 72-hole, no-cut event was open to the top 60 players on the season Points List, and the winner collected 600 points instead of the 500 on offer at regular-season events.

Savoie arrived in the Dominican Republic 12th in the standings and left fourth. Thomas Ponder, 25, finished the season No. 1 with 1,566 points, earning Korn Ferry Tour status for the first time after a year that included a July win at the Explore NB Open and third-place finishes in Ottawa and at the Osprey Valley Open; he tied for 13th at PGA Ocean’s 4. Corey Pereira (1,450), who posted six top-five finishes and led the tour in scoring average at 67.57, was second, and two-time 2026 winner Étienne Papineau of Canada (1,443) was third.

The top 10 on the final Points List earn 2027 Korn Ferry Tour cards: Ponder, Pereira, Papineau, Savoie, Patrick Flavin, Crockett, Justin Biwer, Jack Lundin, Charlie Nikitas and Patrick Sheehan, who grabbed the last spot by tying for eighth on Sunday. Seven of the ten will be Korn Ferry Tour rookies. Under the tour’s rules, the top 10 also receive exemptions into the Final Stage of PGA Tour Q-School in December, while players finishing 11th through 25th go straight to Second Stage.
